The Success For Growth Model

What does success look like at The South Financial Group today? What does it need to look like to sustain our growth into the future? Supporting our vision, The Success For Growth Model identifies and aligns values and employee competencies to ensure we can continue to grow our business while meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations.

We began with a foundation of values...on which we built three pillars of competencies for all employees, managers and senior leaders. The foundational values and pillars of competencies support the roof of our model...our customers- the very reason the bank exists! Values and competencies equip us to support our customers and achieve extraordinary results.

Values are our deeply held beliefs or principles. The focus group and Executive Committee members were asked, “What are the core values that are most critical at The South Financial Group?” After careful consideration and review, these five emerged as most important for continued success. These values form the foundation of our development model.
